Mood Music

Music affects our moods, gets us pumped up, can depress us, and really can be used however we want! The choice is up to YOU!

  • Sometimes we listen to sad songs when we’re feeling sad…and other times we end up listening to sad songs and then BECOME sad! Music is a powerful and influential part of our daily lives.
  • We listen to music to pump us up during a workout, and in relaxing yoga classes we listen to calming, soothing music to help us release tension and become calmer.
  • Are you listening to sad music because you are sad, or do you listen to sad music and then become sad? What is the cause, and what is the effect?
  • “Change your music, change your life.” What music do you listen to on a daily basis? How does it affect your mood? This week let’s become more aware of the tunes we listen to and how they affect or reflect our moods!
  • So here’s an exercise you can do to utilize music more in your life:

-Come up with your own personal play-list that pumps you up. It can include songs that have good memories or songs that really motivate you to live a better life. Play this playlist in the morning when you wake up.

-Also, you can create a soothing or relaxing playlist filled with songs that invoke feelings of peace and tranquility. Play this playlist whenever you’re feeling stressed or anxious.
