I previously wrote an article entitled 25 Ideas For a Healthier Life. Here are 25 more ideas of ways you can improve your habits to improve your health. Go at a pace that is comfortable for you and know that each thing you do will improve your quality of life.
1) Eat lots of berries of all kinds. They are full of antioxidants which help reduce your risk for cancer and cardiovascular disease.
2) Take a high quality multivitamin every day. It is very difficult to get enough nutrition from food, even if you eat a balanced diet. Be sure the vitamins are in forms that are absorb-able by your body so you don’t waste your money. Not all vitamins are created equal. 3) Eat a variety of seeds and nuts every day to get micro nutrients and Omega 3 fatty acids or take flax seed oil or fish oil.
4) Avoid using recreational drugs and tobacco of any kind.
5) Be choosy about what you put on your skin. Remember that it gets absorbed by your body.
6) Put a whole house water purification system in. Or if you can not do that, put a filter on your shower head. City water supplies are supplemented with chlorine, florine and other chemicals that are absorbed by your skin when you shower in them.
7) Develop a fitness program and learn to love it! Only do things for fitness that you enjoy.
Learn to enjoy exercise. If you do, there will come a day when you won’t want to live without it.
9) Keep all the relationships in your life healthy. It is worth the effort and will pay off in untold ways.
10) Learn that you do not always have to be right.
11) Avoid having silver (amalgam) fillings in your teeth.
12) Floss your teeth every day. Yes, I know your dentist has been telling you that your whole life.
13) Keep learning new things. It is fun, keeps your brain active and expands your horizons.
14) Avoid buying things on credit. You appreciate things more when you’ve had to wait for them and you enjoy things more when you can really afford them.
15) Treat others the way you would like to be treated. It will come back to you.
16) Avoid unnecessary surgeries.
17) Stretch every day.
18) Get a massage.
19) Learn to let go of anger.
20) When you eat, do not stuff yourself. Eat slowly so your body is able to tell you when it is full. Pay attention to that feeling of fullness.
21) Avoid deli meats with nitrates.
22) Avoid buying and eating processed foods.
23) Keep your caffeine intake low.
24) Avoid foods with white flour in them.
25) Avoid artificial preservatives, hydrogenated oils and trans fats.
